  • Guest：Seclude is located in a tranquil setting overlooking lake Vembanad. The rooms were very comfortable, very clean and very well equipped. We stayed here last year, and decided to come again as we had such a fabulous time. This year they have added a decent sized swimming pool which gives a welcome respite from the heat, and which has just made our stay even better. Sajit, the chef who clearly enjoys every aspect of his job, produces the most amazing tasty food, checking with us before each meal with suggestions and making food more/less spicy as required for each person. He is ably assisted by Mohan Kumar, who discreetly covered all other needs. Aneesh, the Manager, has fluent English, and was open to discuss any requirements, during or before our visit. He was exceptionally helpful at organising anything we needed including organising a driver to take us to nearby towns for some shopping. He also personally walked us to introduce us to one of the local temple festivals, which we wouldn't have known about, giving us a wonderfully immersive experience of the local culture. There are a lot of opportunities in the area, markets, boat trips, the beach, which are not always obvious from the Kerala tourist information; Aneesh will help organise. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this accommodation as very good value for money, and a great place to unwind. There is so much to enjoy in this area. We will come back here again, and we will stay at Seclude by the Lake.
  • Guest：I stayed in balcony room of Yellow villa around Christmas and New Year holidays. All the three villa have a very beautiful view from room. Overall our stay was very wonderful. It is around 16-17 kms from Alleppey, and at a very peaceful location. Staffs are very polite and helpful. They made our stay more comfortable. Room has smart Tv , AC and WiFi. A very good combo for people who just want to relax or go for worcation. Some things we missed in the resort were : There were no games to play. They can keep some indoor games. Also the kitchen should have a menu since asking everytime what food can we get now is not very enjoyable. If this is your first time Alleppey, here are some Tricks : Rent a scooter to travel. It will be much cheaper and its easy to get. Go for a Shikara and not a House boat if you dont want to stay for whole night in the boat. Dont take motorboat, this is the cheaper version of Shikara with no aesthetics. Do Kayaking , its fun and safe. Dont rent Speedboat for an hour or so as it will be costly. Ask your Kayaking guy to arrange a speed boat during your kayaking session. Much chepaer. 300 for 10 minutes. If you are allergic to coconut oil, ask the restaurant in advance whether they are using it or not. As many places they are. Some good Places to eat: Chaff Delicacy Restaurant, Indian Coffee House Follow @samancasm on insta for such travel hacks!

  • Guest：Located in a village location in the Alleppey district, not far from Cherthalla, this place offers service similar to serviced apartments with a common dining area, balcony, etc.. Directly facing the Vembanad lake with Kumarakom and Pathiramanal isle on the opposite bank. Tortuous village roads lead to the property. Service is excellent but costly. No restaurant but the staff makes almost all types of food, fresh.
